Air Lock
A room in the Space Station. It is filled with tools that focus on your breathing.
Big Rip
When Dark Energy overpowers all of gravity in our universe, it will pull everything apart in an event called the Big Rip.
Cadet
The beginning rank of Comet. Cadets have joined Comet in their mission to use their communication and emotion skills to overpower Dark Energy.
Call Sign
A short Cadet nickname for quick identification and communication.
Captain
The leader rank of Comet. Captains help Cadets learn about Comet and how to practice their Comet Cadets skills.
Comet
An organization whose mission is to overpower Dark Energy by providing Communication and Emotion Training across the universe.
Comet Cadets Promise
A commitment made by Comet Cadets to understand ourselves and each other to align ourselves in our mission to overpower Dark Energy.
Commander
The top rank of Comet. Commanders research Dark Energy and develop new Mind Missions for other ranks to complete.
Control Center
A room in the Space Station. It is filled with tools that focus on positive self-talk.
Council
A group of members at Comet who come together to make big decisions about the Comet Cadets.
Dark Energy
A force that is spreading across our universe that is slowly pushing everyone apart from one another. Words and actions that hurt yourself and others can turn into Dark Energy if they aren't resolved. The 8 most common types of Dark Energy are: judgment, blame, comparison, demand, shame, avoidance, punishment, and violence.
Feelings
One’s emotions or mood.
Gymnasium
A room in the Space Station. It is filled with tools that focus on getting your body moving.
Inner Space
A 5-step process that helps you understand your own feelings and needs.
Mind Mission
Real-life tasks that use your communication and emotion training. You earn a patch for each Mind Mission you complete!
Mood Moon
A tool to help identify which emotion you are feeling. There are 4 zones on the Mood Moon: green, yellow, blue and red. Each zone is positioned based on the energy level and pleasantness of the emotions found in that zone.
Needs
Essential materials required to support an individual’s wellbeing. Also: Universal Basic Needs
Outer Space
A 5-step process that helps you understand the feelings and needs of yourself and someone else.
Patch
A badge that signifies the completion of a Mind Mission.
Recreation Deck
A room in the Space Station. It is filled with tools that connect both sides of your brain.
Research Lab
A room in the Space Station. It is filled with tools that help reground you to your surroundings.
Space
The 5-step Comet Cadets process helps a person talk about something that happened, understand their feelings and needs, and decide what to do next. There are two types of Space: Inner Space and Outer Space.
Space Station
A spacecraft with 5 different rooms: the Air Lock, the Research Lab, the Recreation Deck, the Gymnasium, and the Control Center. Each room is complete with different types of tools to reset our brains, recharge our energy, and relax our bodies.
